I've witnessed the evolution of the development of film in Kathmandu since 1970 and have shot and developed with all the film media available throughout that period. I switched to digital photography early upon its arrival in Kathmandu and have been working with Fotohollywood for the past 8 years. I find the studio run by Birendra Shah to be the best option for professional photographers for color adjustment, exhibition printing and availability of German Hahnemuhle archival cotton rag paper, the finest paper in the world. The professional pigment inks used for the "exhibition quality" printing are far beyond what is available in other studios in Kathmandu. Besides the quality of the printing at Fotohollywood, the staff are professional and courteous and are a pleasure to work with.
